Malaga Cathedral

It was built between 1528 and 1782 sadly was never finished not that you would be able to tell. It is said to be one of the best examples of the baroque-renaissance spanish architercture. Orginally built as a display of catholic power and was actually built on the mosque site that it replaced. Its real name is very long so its often shortened just to old malaga cathedral, how ever if you want to know its proper name here it is- Santa Iglesia  Catedral de la Encarnacion.

Alcazabza

Is the best preserved moorish fortress palace in Spain. It was built between 1057 and 1063. The name Alcazabza translated from Arabic means ( citadel). It was built at a time when the hammudid dynasty ruled Malaga, they were an Arab dynasty from Idrisid, which is why the palace has some Morrocain influence.

castillo de Gibralfarosits

The castle was built by Yusuf I in 1340 AD. Not only is there a castle on the mountainside but it is actually connected to the palace below. To improve defence, it was built to protect Malaga from being conquered. As the mountain was a weak spot where enemies could shoot the city below so that is why the castle/fortress became one of the most difficult fortresses to conquer. If you look closely you will see bullet holes in some walls.
