Calgary Bay
Its gaelic name means "beach of the meadow". Its beach is stunning with its white beachs, overlooked by Calgary castle. With a village nearby with an art gallery, sculpture walk, cafe. By the beach there is a campsite.
The house we stayed at, an upstairs flat in an old barn house. Was so pretty and rustic inside
Fun little fact, David Tennant traced his family back to here
Robins bucket, known for its ice cream! opening time dependent on the weather, only open when sunny
Calgary Art- a gallery and a scultpture park made in the 1999. A relaxing walk around a woods cared for by the community, full of scultures and art work
Tobermory
Isle of Mulls's main town, well known for its appearance as Balamory on CBeebies. It was built in 1788 as a fishing port. Now every year hosts thousands of tourists. The name Tobermory means "the well of mary".

My mums childhood memories
my mum stayed here every summer from age of 3-7, she used to love staying there, there was 2 rooms that they would stay in. that joined next door to each other, with a bathroom in between. With peaty water. Went often to Calagry bay and swim on the beach if sunny. In the rock ponds would like for crabs. Climbed the only monroe on the mountain when she was 4 , my grandpa brought a tent so my mum could have her afternoon nap on the mountainside.
Every year she would have her birthday here, and my grandpa would carry her cake up hills for her.
Though what she really remebers is the midgies
We visted the hotel, as my mum, and my granny and grandpa and my aunt and uncles stayed here on there summer hoildays many times.
For the main I had salmon, and I am not usually a fish fan, but this was so good it melted in my mouth
More of my mums childhood memorys
Charlie Spark, was a very big sea gull that every year would be on my mums window ledge. From her room she could look over the sea and see the seas on the island. They had a family canoe, called mifinijo which is the familys group name of my mum and her siblings. They would keep it down at the harbour and just tie it up there.
This was what the resturant looked like, where we had lunch. It had a view of the whole harbour

The lady on the rock story
A story I read while visting durat castle, this photo opposite is a photo of the rock, island and lighthouse from the roof of the castle.

Luckily she was rescued in the night by a passerby boat before the tide came in
